I was born and raised here in Hakuba, and time passed. Now I have a family, and time passes.
What I feel once again is that we are embraced and sustained by this blessed natural environment.

I am grateful to be able to experience the changing seasons with all my senses and live each day in a state of healing.

I wish I could share this time with someone, it would be a shame to keep it all to myself...
I always think that.

I think that it is only by staying for an extended period of time that you are able to realize things for the first time by slowly immersing yourself in nature.

We, the Sasagawa family, will be going about our daily lives even during your stay.

We are here to help you live your daily life comfortably.

Maison Sasagawa is equipped with self-catering facilities for guests staying for an extended period of time.

As residents of Sasagawa, we live our lives facing the nature of Hakuba.

We hope that visitors will be able to fully enjoy Hakuba's great outdoors and spend time with it.

This is an event that is unique to Sasagawa, surrounded by forests all year round, and allows us to make small discoveries that we experience in our daily lives.

I hope that by sharing this excitement with everyone, it will lead to new discoveries and joy.

We have had guests from Sweden and Norway who have stayed here for as long as three months, couples who stayed for a month and a half on their honeymoon, and even a group of Japanese people who commuted from the Kanto area every weekend. We also had a retired person who spent a whole winter here enjoying his favorite sport, skiing. Everyone has a different language, place of origin, age, job, and reason for staying here.

There are minimal house rules.
